Succession Planning--SACA Board of Director Job Descriptions
President
· Presides over all meetings of the membership and the Board of SACA
· Responsible for directing the overall operations of the Board
· Acts as liaison to WorldatWork as GPN leader, as well as, other Associations
· Oversees maintenance and contents of web page
· Oversees monthly program arrangements
· Oversees coordination of special programs
· Oversees financial information
· Recommends candidates for appointments to Office in the case of a vacancy
· Help develop Strategy plan for SACA
· Arrange monthly Board meetings and capture meeting minutes
· Continue to ask for feedback from Board and members to continue to grow the organization
Vice President--Programs
· Lead in researching/finalizing the monthly meeting topics
o Review and consider topics from the Membership feedback form
· Coordinates with the Presenter for any of their program needs (handouts, PowerPoint presentation, projector, laptops, pens/highlighters, etc)
· Request the Bio information for the presenter to deliver before the presentation
· Provide the RSVP information for the monthly meetings to our hotel representative contact

· Email the members the monthly program reminder (at least 1 ½ - 2 weeks before)
· Works with the VP of Finance to determine if a Speaker thank you gift for the monthly meeting is in budget
· Help develop other programs for Community events for the members to participate in
· Be the lead for the end of the year Holiday Social charity drive
Vice President—Special Programs
· Maintains professional development programs to benefit membership (certification courses and training seminars).
· Arranges and secures venue for WorldatWork courses (minimum of 3 per year).
· Coordinates receipt of materials, distribution of materials and day(s) of event.
· Creates and coordinates other special programs to include recognition, scholarships, etc.
Vice President - Finance
As a financial steward of the organization, seeks ways to increase revenues and decrease costs
Maintains the organization’s general ledger; records and maintains documentation for all financial transactions
- Develops annual budget and makes recommendations to the Board on spending activity of the organization
- Pays all bills and invoices incurred on behalf of the organization
- Manages and reconciles all bank accounts
- Collects payments and distributes invoices for monies owed for monthly meetings, workshops, etc...
- Communicates with the VP of Membership when payment is received for membership dues
- Collects and processes mail delivered to the SACA PO Box
- Reviews contracts for luncheon and CCP meetings to ensure accurate charges, including ensuring tax exemptions are applied appropriately
- Ensures timely preparation and mailing of tax forms to the IRS
Vice President – Communications/Membership
· Coordinates and maintains SACA’s website
· Organizes and distributes correspondence to members (notifications, reminder notices, e-mails)
· Maintains membership directory information within database
· Coordinates annual membership renewal
· Identify potential members to join SACA
· Serves as a liaison for the local colleges/universities to identify possible speaking arrangements or membership within SACA
Committee Member
· Responsible for creating SACA’s bi-monthly newsletters
· Assist the Board with special projects as needed
· Assist the Board at monthly meetings and workshops
